چکیده

Avermectins are a group of macrocyclic lactones that commonly used as pesticides to treat pests and parasitic worms. Some members the avermectin family, such ivermectin, have been found exhibit anti-proliferative activity toward cancer cells. This study aimed investigate potential anti-cancer activities B1a using HCT-116 colon cell line. The MTT assay was calculate IC50 by incubating cells with increasing doses for 24, 48, 72 h. Flow cytometry evaluate apoptosis following 24 h incubation migration capacity in absence or presence also investigated. Finally, tubulin polymerization evaluated. Avermectin presented an value 30 μM. promote at In addition, induced substantially diminished their ability migrate. exhibits significant enhances polymerization, suggesting it can be promising microtubule-targeting agent development future anticancer drugs.

Microregional effects of gemcitabine in HCT-116 xenografts.

To examine the tumor microregional effects after gemcitabine administration to mice, we mapped the location of proliferating and hypoxic cells relative to vasculature in human colon cancer xenografts. The S-phase marker bromodeoxyuridine was used as a surrogate of drug effect and administered 2 hours before tumor excision, whereas vessel position and perfusion were assessed via staining for CD3...
